The Nigeria Football Supporters Club needs little or no introduction, because its name and contribution to the game of football generally, has been written in gold in the hearts of the entire citizenry of our immediate constituency and beyond.
Taking cognizance of the unequivocal fact that football has the greatest momentum in the world of Sports, it is also appropriate to assert, without mincing words, that the influence of the supporters on the game itself is indefeasible.
Taking the Nigeria Football Supporters Club as a case study, it is expedient to appreciate the influence of good Supportership on the game of football. Since over four decades ago, Football has continued to enjoy good followership and admiration in Nigeria, partly to the ceaseless efforts of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.
In the year 1955, Mr.  & Mrs. Derby Allen stumbled on the idea of football supportership for the “Red Devils” (now Super Eagles). Mrs. Derby Allen was an ardent Football lover, In fact she gave the name “Red Devils” to the then national team. Later that same year, some other football decided on the same idea again, to corroborate Mr. & Mrs. Allen. Both parties came together under the aegis of Mr. & Mrs. Allen, ever since, there has never been a stop in the Supporters Club, the end result is what we all are singing its praise today.
